One thing worth knowing before you choose: coastal doesn’t have to mean you live near the beach, and two tone doesn’t mean bold or dark by default. Most of the two tone kitchens we build on the Central Coast actually lean light, because the amount of natural light in a lot of local homes means a darker tone can dominate a room more than the photos suggest it will.

BENCHTOPS

We work in Corian for a seamless, integrated finish, man-made stone including Caesarstone, YDL Stone and AC Stone for a more traditional stone look with better consistency than natural stone, and laminate where budget is the priority. Corian suits a handleless kitchen particularly well, since it can be worked into curves and integrated drainer grooves that a stone benchtop can’t achieve.

Polytec and Laminex ranges, including timber look options for the coastal style, and polyurethane for a smooth, consistent colour finish that suits two tone and handleless kitchens especially well.

Storage hardware, VS Cornerstone MAXX corner systems, Lazy Susans, pull down shelving and dedicated pantry drawers, is where a lot of the day to day usability of a modern kitchen actually comes from.

Glass, including painted glass and smoky mirror finishes, stone matched to the benchtop, Metaline by Laminex, or structured tile formats. For coastal kitchens, a painted glass splashback in a soft tone usually reads better than a patterned tile, it keeps the palette calm rather than busy.

Yes. Every kitchen we build is made to measure for the specific space, not adapted from a standard flat pack range. Because our cabinetry is manufactured in house at our West Gosford factory, style details like handle profiles, drawer configurations and cabinetry finishes can be adjusted to suit your layout rather than the layout being built around a fixed product range.

How long does a modern kitchen renovation typically take?

This varies by scope, but most modern kitchen renovations follow a similar process once the design is locked in: templating, manufacturing, and installation, with trades such as plumbing and electrical coordinated around that schedule.
