Built In Wardrobes Designed for Central Coast Homes

Built in wardrobes make the most of a room without taking anything away from it. Fitted flush against the wall, they turn an ordinary bedroom into properly organised storage, and because they’re made to measure, they’ll work into an awkward alcove or an odd corner just as well as a straight wall run.

A lot of the Central Coast’s housing stock is older, brick veneer homes from the 70s, 80s and 90s with box bedrooms that weren’t built with much wardrobe space in mind. A built in wardrobe is often the most practical fix for that, since it works with the room’s existing footprint rather than needing a full renovation to create the space a walk in would.

Every wardrobe is planned around your storage needs, whether that’s more hanging space, custom drawers, open shelving or built in accessories. From a compact bedroom to a larger master suite, a built in wardrobe is designed for the room it sits in, not fitted to it as an afterthought.

Key Features of Our Built In Wardrobes

Every built in wardrobe is planned around how you’ll actually use it, not just how it looks on day one.

Storage Planned Around What You Own

Hanging, shelving and drawers are configured around your actual wardrobe, not a standard split that leaves half the space unused and the other half overflowing.

Hardware Built for Daily Use

Soft close runners and hinges rated for repeated opening and closing, and suited to the coastal climate, so the wardrobe still feels solid after years of daily use, not just on installation day.

Measured to the Room, Not a Standard Size

Every dimension comes from your actual space, so there's no filler panel, no awkward gap, and no wasted width along the wall.

Doors That Suit the Space You Have

Whether hinged or sliding is the better fit comes down to the clearance in your room, not just which one looks better in a photo.

Built In Wardrobe Styles for Every Space of your Central Coast Home

Once you’ve settled on built in, there’s still a decision to make on doors, and it’s worth getting right, since it affects how the wardrobe actually works day to day, not just how it looks.

Hinged Doors

If your room has the clearance, hinged doors give you full access to everything at once, no digging around a track to reach what's tucked at the back. Suits a bedroom with a bit of breathing room in front of the wardrobe.

Sliding Doors

Where floor space is tight, sliding is usually the more practical call. Nothing swings out into the room, so a bed or other furniture can sit closer to the wardrobe without getting in the way.

Wardrobes Plus

A built in wardrobe doesn't have to stop at hanging and storage. We regularly build a desk, a laundry cupboard or other cabinetry into the same run, useful in a spare room that needs to earn its keep.
Add integrated lighting to any of these, or if you’re sharing the wardrobe with a partner, we can split the internal layout so each of you gets a defined space rather than an even but impractical split straight down the middle.

What You Can Experience in Our Showroom

Choosing a built in wardrobe involves more than picking a door style from a photo online. Seeing finishes in person, understanding scale, and getting a feel for how a configuration actually works helps you make a clearer decision.

Built In Wardrobes Central Coast: FAQs

A built in wardrobe fits flush against an existing wall and doesn’t need extra floor space, which makes it the more practical choice for most standard bedrooms. A walk in wardrobe needs a dedicated space or a generous alcove but turns storage into something closer to a small dressing room. If you’re weighing the two up, it usually comes down to how much room you have rather than which one is “better”.

Yes. This is what we call Wardrobes Plus, a built in wardrobe designed to do more than one job, useful in a spare room or study that needs storage and a workspace in the same footprint.
Hinged doors swing outward, so the room needs enough clearance in front of the wardrobe for the doors to open fully. Sliding doors track sideways instead, which is why they’re the better option in a smaller room or wherever furniture sits close to the wardrobe.
We start with a consultation and measure, then design a layout around your space and storage needs. Once you’re happy with the design, the wardrobe is made to measure at our West Gosford factory and installed by our own team. Timeframes vary depending on the size and complexity of the design, so we’ll give you a realistic estimate once we’ve seen the room.
It can, over time. Salt air and humidity are harder on hardware than an inland climate, which is why we use runners and hinges rated to handle it, rather than standard hardware that’s fine in Sydney’s west but wears faster on the Coast. It’s a small detail, but it’s the difference between a wardrobe that still runs smoothly in five years and one that starts sticking.
